This recipe will change your mind about grinding up all your hindquarter meat!
Ingredients:
- 1 Hindquarter venison roast
- Hi Mountain Seasonings Rib Rub
- Red raspberry BBQ sauce
Directions:
- Cover all sides of the roast with Hi Mountain Rib Rub one hour before cooking.
- Pre heat grill.
- Grill for about 8 minutes then apply the BBQ sauce to all sides, turning the meat over to and continue cooking.
- Check the internal temperature and turn the roast over again, this allows the roast to cook more evenly.
- Once the roast hits an internal temperature of 130 degrees remove from the grill and rest at least 15 minutes before slicing. Resting the roast after cooking is crucial for a juicier, more tender venison hindquarter.
Note: use a meat thermometer when cooking and remove the venison from the grill when it reaches the desired temperature to prevent overcooking.
